What and how to pack for your trip?

1. Passport, valid for at least 3 months after your return from the trip. Attention!!!
2. Birth certificate – for children under 18 years old, if traveling without parents, a notarized consent or permission from the parents is required (for Latvian citizens, one parent can provide consent, while non-citizens need approval from both parents).
3. Money – according to your needs. Credit cards – we recommend carrying two, as experience shows that ATMs can “swallow” your cards. However, having some cash on hand can be useful for small or unexpected expenses, such as restrooms, tips, phone booths, and various entry tickets.
4. Travel bag – consider how many bags you’ll need and what to put in each. In one large bag, pack everything you won’t need on the bus, but will definitely need on the trip, such as: clothing for all situations, swimsuits and beach towels if you’re heading to the water, an alarm clock to avoid oversleeping, and possibly your mobile phone… For the bus, take a small bag with essentials like: a camera, video recorder, wet wipes, medications, snacks that are easy to store and won’t spoil quickly, a cup and spoon, an umbrella or raincoat…
5. Yourself – wear clothes that make you feel comfortable on the bus and shoes you’re used to. A small pillow and blanket can come in handy in the bus salon.

How to feel safe on the bus?

1. Do not move around the bus while it’s in motion.
2. Do not consume alcoholic beverages.
3. Do not poison yourself with nicotine.
4. Do not disturb other travelers.

What to do if you get lost in an unfamiliar city?

Help can come from:

1. Taxi – just remember the name and street of your hotel. A hotel business card can be very useful, so don’t forget to take one with you when heading to the city.
2. City map – available at the hotel or provided by the tour guide.
3. Police officers or local residents – knowing the language will be very helpful.

What to do if you fall behind the group?

1. Prevent such situations – listen carefully to the guide’s instructions on when and from where the group will continue the trip.
2. Public transport – remain calm and use it to catch up with the group at the next overnight stop.
3. Contact the group leader or inform the travel agency.

How to avoid being robbed?

1. Always stay alert, as unfortunately, theft can happen almost anywhere. Be especially cautious in crowded places – popular tourist attractions, stations, metro, and markets.
2. Do not keep all your cash in one place; divide it among various secure spots.
3. Do not carelessly leave jewelry, cash, camera/video equipment, or other valuable items in the bus, hotel, an open bag, or easily accessible pocket.

When and how to exchange currency?

1. At home, before the trip, you can exchange a certain amount of money to feel at ease during the journey.
2. Only at official exchange points. Remember, exchange rates at hotels and stations are usually higher.
3. Be cautious – do not exchange money during late hours or in unsafe areas of the city. It’s safer if someone from the group is with you.

What to know at the hotel?

1. Mini bar, phone, and individual TV channels are additional services. If you use them, make sure to pay for them at the reception when checking out.
2. Breakfast – each tourist arrives individually, according to the given time. Food is not intended for takeout.
3. After 11:00 PM – quiet hours begin, and noise is not allowed.
4. Forgotten items – expenses for searching and retrieving them will need to be covered by the individual.
5. Porter services – carrying your luggage is convenient and pleasant, but tips are expected. Housekeeping staff will also appreciate a small tip as a gesture of thanks for their service.
